CMSI Teams Commissioned

CMSI Personnel Manager, Gillian Maganda, shares some highlights from the Team Commissioning event on Sunday night in Seagoe Parish, Portadown.

"It was a wonderful evening of praise, worship and preaching! Rev Adrian Dorrian, CMSI’s Chairman, shared on Jesus sending out the 72. The four teams were presented, commissioned and prayed over among many family members, friends and supporters.

As I look back on the past year and the journey we embarked upon with this year's team members, I am reminded afresh of the Apostle Paul’s words in 1st Corinthians v12:

There are different gifts, but the same Spirit who gives them. There are different ways of serving God, but it is the same Lord who is served. Each one of us is given a gift by the Spirit, to use for the common good. Together we are the body of Christ, and individually members of the body of Christ.

We thank God for these people from multiple parishes across Ireland who have sensed God called to serve alongside our Global Partners throughout 2018.

Join us in praying that they will be equipped with special gifts to minister and reach out. May they be filled with God's Spirit so that they can accept all they will experience, and be faithful and patient when taken out of their comfort zone. Pray, they will be a blessing and in turn be blessed by our Partners, and be brought home safely, so that their experiences will enrich and enthuse them in their faith as they serve in their local churches and communities."

Our CMSI Teams will be sharing their news and experiences on our CMSI blogs pages- so you can catch up with how they are getting on. Our Teams for 2019 are already in the pipeline and they will be launched in Summer 2018.
