CMSI teams offer a chance for groups from Ireland to visit one of our partner locations and experience life, faith and work in another part of the world.
It's a great way to deepen your understanding of global mission and to help the church-to-church partnership links grow.
A CMSI team involves training and preparation in the months before the visit, the experience itself and some follow-up meetings afterwards.
2020 Open Teams
Every year, CMSI facilitates a number of church teams, that support a particular partnership link. But we also run 'open teams' - providing opportunities for individuals from churches across Ireland to visit our Global Partners.
In 2020, we're offering two open teams:
To Maridi Diocese in South Sudan in July (deadline for applications has now passed)
To Nepal in November (the deadline for applications is 11th November)
2020 Church Teams
Our church teams help to develop specific partnership links. They involve one or more link parishes sending a team to help strengthen and deepen the relationships with their Global Partners.
In summer 2020, three church teams will visit their partners:
From St Mark's, Dundela to the Urban Development Programme in Kenya (this team has now been selected)
From Lisburn Cathedral to Yei Diocese, South Sudan (deadline for applications has now passed)
From St Paul's, Lisburn to Kajiado Diocese, South Sudan (deadline for applications is 25th October)
