Twende Team Prepare to Go!

Kajiado Sky

Well, it's nearly time to go for Twende ('Go') Team.

Team members David and Lorna Palmer, Robert Hoffman and David Tough are busy packing their bags for their visit to Ronnie and Maggie Briggs and Kajiado Diocese in Kenya next week.

The last couple of weeks' nice sunshine is preparing us for the sun in Kenya, and while farmers here in Ireland are talking of a drought, I’m sure it's nothing compared to what people have suffered in Kenya and other places over the years.

So we're looking forward to visiting the various projects at the Masaai Rural Training Centres, including the water storage tanks, as well as participating in music workshops at Oloosuyian Girls' School and assisting at training seminars for clergy and lay Readers.

Following the wonderful CMSI Teams Commissioning Service in Seagoe Parish Church, we were delighted to welcome Rev Roger Thompson (CMSI Partnership Coordinator for Kenya) to St. John’s Church, Tralee, where we had an African themed service.

A big “Thank You” to all our family, friends and parishioners for the generous support we have received for the various projects in Kenya.

As we prepare to leave, we pray for a safe journey and please remember our loved ones in your prayers over the next couple of weeks.

Finally, Team members – don’t forget to take your anti-malarial tablets!
