We showed the Jesus film in nearby Bethlehem parish, a 2km walk along a narrow dirt road passing through homes and bush on the way. A number of children and young adults who had been playing football beside the church attended, along with others from the area. People seemed to enjoy the film but were shy to respond to the short message we gave at the end. We trust God is at work in those who were listening.
In order to enable more women to attend, we were well advised by local leaders that the film should be shown at evening time. We plan to train a local team for the film ministry and so that this valuable outreach can continue.

The youth weekend in Madebe went well. There seemed to be all ages in attendance though – youth here are 18-45!
There were lively discussions during the marriage and dating session. Dealing with subjects such as polygamy, divorce, sexual relations, and finding the right partner...
Andrew was given the topic ' Death and eternal life', and he spoke on the bridge to life. Crossing over from death to life through accepting what Jesus did on the cross. Ten people raised their hands to receive Jesus as their saviour. Others spoke on 'Repentance and Forgiveness', ' Youth and the Church', and ' Music in the Church'.
Bishop Wilson started the conference with his 'Back to church Campaign' and had a discussion about what is keeping the youth away from the church and how to address these issues.
It was a busy weekend with Andrew having the opportunity to share in the early morning Zande service and the English service in the cathedral.
Andrew is currently unwell with malaria. He is feeling a bit better since starting treatment but is feeling a bit "washed out". We would appreciate prayer for healing.
Please continue to pray for peace in South Sudan and that those in opposition to the government use dialogue instead of violence to address problems.
