Fire cannot be quenched with fire: only water can make a difference

During her recent visit to Uganda, Jenny was able to meet with Bishop Hassan, one of our Local Mission Partners living in the Nuba Mountains area in Sudan. The chance to be together in person helped deepen relationships and further understandings of the complex situation in Sudan.

Whilst there, the Sudanese bishops present were able to meet for a retreat together. The aim of the retreat was to pray, study God’s Word, and encourage each other. And more importantly, “to pray for our beloved country which has been bleeding for nearly three years”.

They spent a portion of their time crafting an appeal for peace – a statement from the episcopal church of Sudan. To read their statement, click here.
