Hi everyone,

We are so grateful for your continued partnership, prayers, and support as we journey through a busy season of ministry and link visits. God is moving in so many different ways across the communities we serve, and we wanted to share a few key updates and prayer needs from overseas.

Community Health and Fellowship in Ibba

Down in Ibba, the Bishop has been heavily involved in a vital campaign to raise awareness about Ebola and Monkeypox, focusing on how communities can protect themselves and prevent the spread. He recently took the campaign directly to the people, participating in a public awareness event in Ibba Market and moving on to Madebe the following day.

Closer to home at the Diocesan Hall, it was a joy to see the Mothers’ Union gather together for a wonderful time of fellowship. These faithful women are the bedrock of so many local ministries, and we are praying that this time together truly strengthens and encourages them in their daily walk of faith.

Crucial Prayer Points for South Sudan

South Sudan is facing a truly historic moment, alongside some pressing humanitarian needs. Please join us in bringing these matters before the Lord:

  • The South Sudanese government has officially set December 22nd for the country’s first-ever general elections since independence. Please pray for peaceful campaigning in the run-up to this historic vote, and for a fair, transparent election process.

  • Rainfall throughout South Sudan has been significantly below the norm. We are praying earnestly for the right amount of rainfall to sustain crops and communities.

  • Ongoing civil unrest has left an estimated 7 million people in heavily affected areas in desperate need of food assistance. Please pray for relief, resources, and a path toward lasting peace.

Link Visits and Looking Ahead to New Wine

We have been so blessed by our recent link visits! We want to give massive thanks for the warm welcomes we received at Derryvullen North & Castle Archdale (where services were beautifully led by 'junior ministers') and the Garrison Group of Parishes.

As we look to the weeks ahead, we would value your prayers for the following:

  • Kinawley & Holy Trinity Parish Visit, this past Sunday. Give thanks for safe travel, meaningful connections, and that our time sharing with the parish was a source of encouragement to all.

  • Preparation for New Wine Ireland early July. Pray for us as we prepare our hearts and resources to represent CMSI at the New Wine summer conference.

  • New Wine Conference in Sligo July 12th – 17th. We will be in Sligo for the summer conference. Please pray for good, fruit-bearing conversations, and that we will be deeply refreshed, strengthened, and encouraged by the worship, teaching, and fellowship.

Thank you again for standing with us in prayer. Your support means the world to us and sustains us in this work.

Every Blessing,

Joanne & Andrew
