Joanne and Andrew send their thanks for everyone's continued prayers and support after a busy couple of weeks.
They recently enjoyed encouraging link visits to Bangor Abbey, St. Columba's, and Christ Church Primacy.
As a couple they also attended a New Wine Prayer Ministry Training in Dollingstown alongside CMSI’s Linda Abwa, where they were uplifted by stories of God’s work through prayer ministry in Ireland. Other recent highlights included a lovely visit to the Colebrooke flower festival with the Mother's Union ladies from Kinawley and Holy Trinity, and a wonderful time catching up with friends while accompanying Andrew’s parents to a retired clergy meal.
Updates from South Sudan
News from Ibba Diocese has brought some pressing concerns:
Health: There is one suspected case of Ebola in neighboring Yambio county. This is deeply worrying as South Sudan lacks the infrastructure to handle an outbreak.
Security: While Ibba County remains stable, insecurity persists in other regions of the country.
Politics: Informal talks of an upcoming election are circulating, though nothing has been officially established.
Prayer Requests
Joanne and Andrew appreciate prayers for the following:
Peace: For stability and peace across South Sudan ahead of the anticipated elections.
Protection: That the suspected Ebola outbreak is quickly contained and that medical staff are protected.
Church visits: pray for Andrew and Joanne as they continue sharing in churches
