Kiwoko Hospital Celebrates 30th Anniversary

We rejoice with Kiwoko Hospital (Luweero Diocese), which recently celebrated 30 years of serving rural communities around Nakaseke District, in central Uganda.

In the hospital's recent newsletter, Dr Peter Serwadda (Medical Director) writes,

We had a lovely week of activities which built up to the celebration event on 19th November 2021. We tried to engage and give back to the community in a small way through a 2 day medical camp organised by the hospital. Over 650 people were benficiaries of the services offered during those two days. It was amazing to see how the Lord used so many of our local partners to help cover some of the expenses needed in that period.

CMSI has been involved with Kiwoko Hospital from the outset and we continue to support this important ministry by providing opportunities for individuals to serve alongside the staff team. In January, Tom and Gemma Withers - both physiotherapists - will begin an eight-month Short-Term Experience Placement at Kiwoko Hospital. We chatted with Tom and Gemma in September to learn more about them and find out about their hopes for their time in Uganda.

We thank God for His faithfulness, and are grateful for the many Ugandan staff, former mission partners and volunteers from around the world who have been part of Kiwoko’s ongoing journey. Glory to God!
