CMSI Friday Update 1/5

This week's summary of some of the news and stories we've been sharing over the past week.

This week, in CMSI:

  • We’ve shared a good news story from North Kivu Diocese in the Democratic Republic of Congo, including a video greeting from Bishop Isesomo.

  • We’ve posted a link letter from Isabelle Prondzynski, which provides updates and prayer requests from the Urban Development Programme in Kenya.

  • Gillian Maganda shared about a CMSI Teams’ Training meeting with a difference

  • Linda Abwa provided news of a crisis in DR Congo which is impact our partners – and it’s not Covid-19.

  • We’ve also continued to promote our Covid-19 Response Appeal and highlight concerns about the food crisis that is already impacting many of our partners. We're hugely thankful for the support we received for our appeal from the Church Of Ireland Bishops' Appeal - as well as from many individuals.

  • We produced a monthly update news letter for CMSI Stars and supporters for whom we don't have an email address.

Click the blue links above to catch up on anything you missed.

Other highlights from the past week:

  • The staff team has been busy preparing our twice-yearly Global Partner Updates for sharing next week.

  • We’ve also written a special prayer for the global Church during the Covid crisis. Our partners have been recording their video contributions for this – and we hope to launch the final prayer video next week.

In CMSI, we really want to help support the Church at the centre of this crisis – so your ongoing prayers and support are greatly appreciated.
