Last week, we received some photographs from Bishop Isesomo of North Kivu Diocese in DR Congo, showing how the diocese has been using some of the funds received through the CMSI Covid-19 Response Appeal.

£1000 was transferred to North Kivu last month, some of which has been used by the Mothers' Union for a mask-making programme to support local health clinics.

We give thanks for the example of our partners in North Kivu Diocese. Despite their own daily challenges, God's people continue to share His love and hope in the midst of significant suffering: the Church is truly at the centre of the crisis response.

Please continue to pray for all of CMSI's Global Partners as they respond to the needs of vulnerable communities, where the impacts of C-19 lockdown measures have been felt particularly keenly.

The response in North Kivu highlights how critical coordinated healthcare efforts are during global crises like COVID-19. Managing outbreaks in vulnerable regions requires not only medical intervention but also strong community engagement and awareness. It’s impressive to see how local and international teams worked together to contain the spread and support affected populations. Such initiatives remind us of the importance of accessible healthcare solutions worldwide. Platforms like Healthmedsrx also play a role in improving access to essential medicines, which becomes even more crucial during pandemics when timely treatment and prevention can significantly impact public health outcomes and recovery efforts.
